Rounders News

The Year 7&8 and 9&10 rounders teams went head to head with Hodge Hill Girls school last night. The team did us proud with their attitudes, performances and sportsmanship. We are very proud of the girls considering we have only had 1 practice due to other fixtures taking part in netball or athletics competitions. Despite this, the girls were still prepared to give it a go and tried their absolute best. After winning the double in the netball there last week, the girls were very excited to be competing in another fixture, however it wasn't our day. Unfortunately, the year 7&8's lost both innings but they were both really close games. 1. 7 rounders -5 rounders 2. 7 rounders -5 1/2 rounders The year 9&10's lost the first innings but managed to improve their fielding to draw the second innings. 1. 8 1/2 rounders- 3 1/2 rounders 2. 3 1/2rounders - 3 1/2 rounders Students who deserve a special mention; Keera Zafar- Batting successfully into space and scoring on each hit. Leif Ward- Positive leadership skills and influences on the game and the team. We have taken a few things away from the game to work on and although it wasn't the result we wanted, we are proud of the girls and we will get them next time! Thanks,
