Athletics Team

The Year 8 Athletics team went head to head with Great Barr, Perry Beeches, Kingsbury and St Edmund Campion school last night. The students competed in different track, field and relay events. They worked very hard when competing but also made some friends along the way, clapped the last runner in and shook hands of the others after each event.



Overall, the teams game;
Boys- 3rd place (lost out on 2nd by 1 point)!
Girls- 3rd place!

Students who deserve a special mention;

Keaton Howson- Won the Howler throw by 7metres and even beat the members of staff from Kingsbury by 2 metres! What a champ! He is someone we need to encourage to join a track and field club! He could be a future star!


Sascha Palmer- Filling in for one of the team who didn't turn up in the 800m, followed very quickly by her own 100m race.


Kayley and I had a great evening and lets hope we keep this glorious weather for the next 5 weeks and beyond.
